It's easier to seek You here
within this sanctuary
where the noise and rush of life is far away
but I long to feel your neverending presence in my heart
as I'm walking on my journey ev'ry day

Bring me to Your Real Presence in real time
let me know You're more than hopeful words my heart will say
call my wand'ring gaze from these ordinary ways
to see You in Your Real Presence here today

It's written we can only see as through a mirror dimly
and a veil divides us from the Holy Place
But Your Comforter is near
and dwelling with us here
stands revealed in the reality of grace        Chorus

one day like the summer lightning burning up the sky
every eye will see and ev'ry knee will bow
but today our confidence may falter
so we kneel before Your altar now

and I realize the reason for this table
and I understand the meaning of this meal
what our grateful lips receive
lets our weary hearts believe
that the mercy You provide for us is real     Chorus
