Comments: I was asked to write a song for a teaching conference at Christ Lutheran, Lincoln, and for their schoolchildren to learn. The conference theme brought to mind the parable of the Sower and Christ's command to pray for workers in the field. The image of a seed sprouting and emerging found emphasis in many works my father Reinhold did in sculpture, murals, painting, and photography, so the words for this came very naturally to me.
